Whereas the domaine’s iconic Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos des Ormes (above) comes from hard limestone mother-rock, the crus comprising this bottling are all richer-soiled and more erosion-affected, imbuing the wine with a thicker, sappier fruit profile.
