Winemaking Information

Fermented and aged in old barrels on the lees for at least 11 months. 50-80mg per liter of sulfur added at bottling.

Fun Facts: This wine comes from the Batterieberg hill, the original piece of land the estate gets its name from. Batterieberg translates to "Battered Mountain" because the original owner, Carl August Immich, used dynamite to bomb the hill to create the terraces the vines are currently planted on.
